Presidential Hair

My friend Ash sent me this. I couldn't say it better so the comments are his.

Touch the President's hair

Obama hair

President Barack Obama bends over so the son of a White House staff member can pat his head during a family visit to the Oval Office May 8, 2009. The youngster wanted to see if the President's haircut felt like his own. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)
This little boy wanted to see if the President's hair felt like his.
For some reason, it made me burst into tears.
Perhaps at the beautiful demonstration of a child's curiosity when we don't "shush" them.
Perhaps at the thought that this young boy could see part of himself in the President of the United States, for the very first time.
Perhaps at the humble way President Obama bent down.
Perhaps all of the above.

Barefoot in the Park

Spring has sprung
The grass has ris.
But where the heck
The flowers is?

Every year Dad pronounced this little ditty and Spring has finally sprung here in NYC making unemployment FUN again! I was feeling very cooped up in the black and white NY winter and not the Woody Allen kind of B&W either.

Feeling the grass and rock on my bare feet I feel what bears feel coming out of their hibernation.

And I feel the pull of community again so back to the blog.

For now enjoy my foot enjoying The Park.

Still here

Been a very frenetic, emotional few weeks so apologies for the lack of bloggin'

I have many photos from Argentina that I will be posting soon with some retro blogging on that.  In the meantime I am back in NYC in my own apartment getting home delivery of pancakes from the diner and watching back to back The Office episodes.

Also--wait for it--looking for work since my landlord says amusing travel anecdotes can't be counted towards rent.  Weirdo.
